A telepathic encounter in a chasm

Battling the deadly, telepathic nothic

Dwelling beneath the caves below Tressendar Manor, the party met a feral creature known as a Nothic. A monster with telepath abilities and a taste for human flesh.

Despite earlier appeasement of the deadly creature, their uneasy truce ended with a trying battle upon their escape!

A wizard’s familiar

The summoning of Cornelius the raven familiar

The Journey took our heroes north into the abandoned ruins of Thundertree, a once bustling hive of activity in ages past; now desparingly desolate, infested with ghastly hordes of undead and vicious venomous plant creatures.
They had been informed they could find the druid Reidoth here.

In order to get a better search the area, Tellahrion conjured forth a familiar – His faithful companion: ‘Cornelius, The All-seeing raven’. To take to the skies as his eyes from the dark skies above.

(Cornelius was named so, due to his fondness of corn… despite being a non-corporeal being conjured forth by spells! Travelling across the ether, must be must be hungry work for such creatures? )

The rescue of Sildar Hallwinter

The adventurers battle goblins to save Sildar Hallwinter.

Upon their search for Gundren, the party found Sildar Hallwinter held captive in a cave used by goblins as a raiding hideout.

Leonardo De Nobleton would often use his javelin and swordsmanship, as well as his silver tongue, to great effect. The sharpness of his blade only matched by his confidence, wit and bravery. A deadly combination. Many foes last words to hear would be one of Leo’s quick quips* before their defeat.

*Those still living would have to endure his fondness for (terrible) puns – at which Gillius would belly laugh heartily, whilst Tellahrion would groan. Simultaneously extending and decreasing his non-human friends respective life spans.

An elf’s surprising use for a dwarf

Tellahrion uses Gillius as a means to steady his aim

Tellahrion The Snooty Elf was dedicated to his quest in pursuit of knowledge in the arcane arts of Magic (in honour of his Elven God: Oghma).

His mastery of powerful spells were legendary, tales of clearing out hordes of Orcs with a balls of fire, exploding a whole direwolves with merely his palms of thunder and crackle. His trademark was the Mystic Ice Shard spell of his own design, which the eleven mages still use today. During battle, he would often clear out rooms with his spells.

An amusing observation is that due to their height difference, as a naturally tall elf; Tellahrion would often cast his spells right over Gillius’ head, given his small stature! Leonardo’s javelin and Gillius’ hammer would follow soon after.

It is said during one such incident, Tellahrion had burned the hair right off of the crown of Gillius’s head! Hence why he would always keep his cleric hooded robe up. Elven pride, meant Tellahrion never apologised. It is said that one drunken night, upon Gillius trying to settle the bill with the innkeep, many rounds of the tavern’s finest ale were mysteriously paid for by a unknown benefactor…coincidence?

Rifling through the Miners Guild

Tellahrion and Leonardo rummage through the effect of Halia Thornton while Gillius runs interference

During their search for Gundren Rockseeker, our brave yet inquisitive adventurers had become involved in the liberation of Phandalin, which was terrorised by the menacing bandits The Redbrands.

In search of information they had snuck into the office of Halia Thornton, head of the Miner’s Guild.

Despite their suspicions, it was later confirmed that she, in fact, had no links to The Redbrands.

…Although a map was claimed to have gone missing upon the next inventory check

The infiltration of Tresendar Manor

Leonardo de Nobleton leads zombies in a Thrill-Oh dance.

During the infiltration of Tresendar Manor…The party found themselves in the creepiest of crypts

Here, in the dark, it was the young Noble: Leonardo De Nobleton’s abundant influence and natural Charisma that saved the day! His unorthodox yet effective dance method of dealing with the ghouls and zombies…gave me ‘Thrills!’ watching it from my crystal ball.

Historians believe this was the origin of the so called ‘Thrill-Oh!’ dance ritual, in which the town’s folk of Phandalin collectively dress as ghouls to keep away bad spirits.

Leonardo; being an avid flute player was rumoured have written the famous tavern song ‘Toss a coin to Your Watcher’. Attributed to the tale of his companion Tellahrion the Snooty Elf, on receiving his title as ‘Watcher of the Holy Order’…Yet they did not receive a single penny for risking their lives, much to the dismay of the tired party.
